PRIVATE CULINARY CLASSES

Our social and interactive Cooking Classes are made to empower you to take your culinary skills to the next level. And the best part of all? There is a class for everyone! From beginners to intermediate, we will walk you through each step of the cooking process, sharing our secret recipes, helpful tips, tricks and techniques while making traditional Greek food together. Classes are intimate and tailored for groups of 4-12.  They bring a nutritious and healthy element to your dinner parties, team building sessions, friend/family gatherings, and special events.

Our goal is to take the fuss and fear out of cooking and preparing so that you are able to enjoy a traditional and authentic Greek Feast with your family and friends. Our commitment to using only the highest quality ingredients, never using any additives or preservatives, we will provide you with a culinary experience that will have your guests talking for weeks to come. Whether it’s a small gathering or a large event, allow us to take care of the delicious food, so that you can shift your focus on your guests and having a good time.

In our culture, eating is a social event.  A celebration, if you will. Good food, drink and music bring communities together.  We nourish our bodies and our minds by spending hours eating, talking, laughing and sharing.  We believe this to be one of the secrets of Greek health and wellness. The key to longevity.

 

From Our Greek Kitchen to your family’s table, you can expect to dine on our homemade and incredibly delicious food, made with love. Just like Yiayia used to make.  We are passionate about the quality and flavour of our food and adamant about the integrity of authentic, traditional cooking. Using only the freshest ingredients. MEET THE CHEFS

From an early age, I knew food was my passion. At two years old, I helped my mom make blueberry jam and proudly explained the process to a lady at the swimming pool the next day. Grocery store visits were thrilling; I'd see eggplants and exclaim, “MOUSSAKA!” Frequent trips to Toronto's St. Lawrence Market with my parents taught me to recognize all the fish and seafood by name before I was four. By my fourth birthday, my palate was so sophisticated that I requested a Grand Marnier Cake.

My first job was at a grocery store, where I discovered new vegetables like fiddleheads and collards and learned how to cook them. Living in Greece for two years exposed me to a different food philosophy, emphasizing the freshest produce, local ingredients, and seasonal dishes. I experienced grilling meat on grapevine cuttings and picking fruit fresh from the backyard, gaining a deep appreciation for “fresh,” “local,” and “seasonal” before they were trendy.

In 2008, I discovered my passion for cooking, working in various restaurant kitchens in Sweden for six years. I trained with talented chefs and learned invaluable skills. Unhappy with the local produce, I planted my first vegetable garden, experimenting with a variety of vegetables and herbs. I also embraced foraging in the Swedish forest, discovering bilberries, wild mushrooms, lingonberries, and raspberries.

These experiences have shaped my journey. I look forward to sharing my love of delicious food with you!

Vera 

I grew up immersed in the aromatic delights of traditional Greek cuisine. My childhood was filled with the flavors of roasted leg of lamb, lemon potatoes, rice pudding, and honey-drizzled fried dough, all reminiscent of my mother's village of Nymfi in the Peloponnese and my father's island of Samos.

Spending countless hours in the kitchen with my Yiayia (grandmother), I developed a deep passion for cooking. She nicknamed me "gatoula" (little cat) for my eagerness to taste her creations. Over the years, she taught me the art of crafting delicious meals, a skill and love that runs in my blood.

My parents, successful immigrant entrepreneurs, ran a beloved restaurant for 20 years, where I learned the importance of food quality and presentation. Their passion for homemade dishes inspired me to host gatherings and cook for friends in my own home.

In my culture, a “parea” is a social gathering where family and friends come together to enjoy food, drink, music, and stories. This tradition of social eating and celebrating life drives my dedication to creating mouth-watering homemade foods. From our kitchen to yours, I aim to revive the art of communal dining.
